iolabs is yet another company I’ve worked with since their inception, developing a very clean, almost sterile look. The majority of their clients are artists and designers and it was important that their identity be a backdrop to their clients’ work, rather than be too showy (read: gaudy) like many of their competitors. Perceived as high end yet down-to-earth, you could easily get a beer (or two or four) with them after work. I have.

I’m often called upon by a client to do some personal work — in this case a wedding invitation for Jennifer and Charlie. Inspired by the intense color of Jen’s über-fabulous designer shoes, this invitation set the tone for an elegant, yet vibrant celebration.

A unique statement for a one-of-a-kind gal — each invitation box was wrapped in a custom mailing label for each recipient. (We actually used 100% bamboo forks, but I ran out before I could shoot the photo.)
